Geocaching - Integrating Social Studies

Students had to use a hand-held GPS unit to navigate around the school using waypoints to find their caches. in each cache was a different explorer that they had to answer a questions on their tracking sheet. It was a digital Scavenger hunt using longitude & latitude.


Comic Life Math Integration

This is a collaboration Project that i have started with the 8th grade Math Classes. It was a review of math equations. Students had to create their pledge plan for a walkathon with 1 or more constants. they created a hand drawn storyboard, then took pics with their group and made their comic through Comic Life.

Interactive Mobi Unboxing

We recently just ordered some new tech products for our teachers. Instead of me giving a demo several times throughout the year, i created an uboxing video that gives instructions on what each product is and does. As well, as how to install the software.

Below is a video project that I had a student create. It was a stop motion video project. Stop motion means to physically manipulate a photo to make it appear as it is moving on its own. She took over 5,000 photos but used 1,568. This is her story...

Word Art

Here are a couple of projects that students submitted through a websites,
Wordle & Tagxedo. They did poems about terminology and feeling of a basketball game through a word cloud. A Word cloud is a graphical representation of words. The other student created a picture of herself outlined of terms about Highland.

International Project

Students had to research a international landmark and then create a mii portrait of themselves and photoshop themselves into the photo. Then add a speech bubble to showcase their their fact about the landmark..
